Personalized Sun Hat

We've all seen these super cute sun hats on Instagram and Pinterest. Well, it was about time I made my own!

Materials:

Sun Hat (I got mine off Amazon)

Thick Yarn

Large Sewing Needle

Hot Glue Gun & Sticks

Chalk

Step 1

Draw out what you want your hat to say with chalk. You'll be using this as a guide when you're sewing and gluing.

Step 2

Feed your yarn through your sewing needle and thread the yarn through the bottom of the brim of your sun hat where your first letter starts.

Step 3

Hot glue the yarn along the chalk line. I brought the yarn back around and glued a second row to make the letters thicker. If your yarn is thick enough, you may be able to skip that step.

Then feed the yarn back through to the bottom of the hat and knot the string.

Step 4

Repeat this process throughout the rest of your hat, tracing along your chalk guideline.

This project was quick and easy! I definitely want to make more using different colored hats, words, sayings, and other materials (possibly sequins) for the lettering.
